It’s an homage to the classic monster movies of yesteryear — a blend of heart, humor, and horror: it’s Lex, trembling with fear, Jell-O jiggling in her spoon, when she spots the velociraptor hunting her and her brother in Jurassic Park... it’s the dread building in Ray Stanz when he realizes he’s responsible for summoning the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters... it’s Billy regretting he fed those Mogwai after midnight in Gremlins... it’s the bubbling, acrid blood burning through the hull of the Nostromo in Alien... it’s true friendship forming as Elliot shows off his action figure collection to E.T....

The Little Shop of Monsters is a modern day epic set in a small Midwest town that explores the gray area between good and evil, human and monster... and how we’re all a little bit of both.
